Cottages
The Magic Reef is comprised of three cottages, each of which are situated between 20 and 60 metres from the picturesque beachfront and surrounded by lush palm trees.
All cottages are equipped with electricity, hot water, modern appliances, bed sheets, mosquito nets, ensuite bathrooms, towels, electric fans, a fully equipped kitchen with a stove for cooking, an outdoor pizza oven and a BBQ. There is an extra chest freezer available in the store and a generator for use during occasional power outages.
We employ friendly locals from the village who are the backbone of our property. Our property supervisor, Saidi, is available in the daytime to arrange activities, order seafood and to answer any questions you might have. Tatu and Sheila are available to keep your house tidy and prepare basic food and they also enjoy making pizzas. Ali, our gardener is available to help and is particularly handy at climbing the coconut trees to collect a refreshing coconut for you! Tom is the Maasai who guards the house at night. If you feel the staff have looked after you well, please provide them with a tip. A qualified cook is available at an extra charge of $10 per day.
Large
Cottage
Located 60 metres from the beach, our large cottage can sleep 4-6 people and is made out of a combination of brick and local makuti.
This spacious cottage has one double and one twin room, both ensuite with an extra single bed in each room. It has a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, two fridges and access to a chest freezer. The thirty-foot veranda and the outside seating areas offer a comfortable spot to relax and unwind while gazing out at the Indian Ocean.

Beachfront cottage
Our larger beachfront self-catering cottage is located 20 metres from the beach and can sleep 4- 6 people. It is made out of brick with a traditional makuti and spacious veranda with a dining and separate sitting area. It also has as an outdoor area to relax and enjoy the warm breeze from the tropical coastline.
The cottage has two double ensuite rooms, each with an extra single bed. It has it's own separate fully equipped kitchen with an oven and fridge freezer.
